Narrative in Healthcare Humanities
Healthcare Humanities is an interdisciplinary endeavour, drawing on the strength of scholarship in literature, film, the visual arts, music, ethics , philosophy and history. The goal of our Program is to promote and deepen exchanges among colleagues from all clinical and humanities disciplines . This will broaden the healer’s cultural experience while underscoring the vital contributions of imagination and creativity to both caregiving and academic practice. Scholars in narrative theory, the arts , humanities and other “medicine watchers” will be enriched by a direct, ongoing dialogue with those working in healthcare settings and will be invited to help shape the discourse around experiences of health , illness and social justice in our community.
We publish an award-winning literary review, ARS MEDICA For information on subscribing/submitting works go to: www.ars-medica.ca
