Re: Division of Psychotherapy, Humanities and Educational Scholarship
We are very pleased to announce two new appointments of leadership in the newly aligned divisional structure of the Department. This completes the recruitment of leaders for our new academic divisions, pending the search for Director of the Child and Adolescent Division which will be underway shortly.
Dr. Susan Lieff has been appointed as the inaugural Director of the new Division of Psychotherapy, Humanities and Educational Scholarship. In addition to her role as the Vice Chair of Education, Susan is also the Acting Head, Research, Innovation and Scholarship in Education (RISE) Program, Department of Psychiatry. In this joint role as Vice Chair, she will bring an important perspective to both integrate this division and to ensure its continued success and prominence within the overall department.
Dr. Paula Ravitz, will take on the role as Associate Director of this division. As Head of Psychotherapy and Firestone Chair in Psychotherapy, this new leadership role will enable a broad focus across the department on this key domain and area of scholarship. Dr. Allan Peterkin will continue to lead the Health Arts and Humanities academic area.
